Why, it was only five days ago. :D
It was a very quiet celebration, first at a cafe with my friend Galya and then at home with my family. My mother was the other birthday girl, so she made our favourite cake (and refused any help with it). It feels a little strange that my sister has to come from her new home for our birthday now, but I'm getting used to it.
I got a ton greetings in three languages online (well, make it four languages because somebody thought it was a good idea to say "Happy Birthday" in Spanish, but thankfully I understand than much :P). The most interesting part was when a Bulgarian friend called me on the phone and caught me still in the middle of cleaning, but I decided it was more fun that way. :)
The best result of Galya's heroic photographic efforts in the cafe (I had to move to her place because the light was terrible where I was sitting). My winter hairstyle was still fresh and my hair was trying to stick out in all direction, so taming it was quite a challenge:

My own birthday gift to myself:
Since I'm the only one at home who likes birthday candles, I lit and blew my own candle on this piece of cake in the quiet of the next day. :)
